Our first article relates to the use of the Meade Readiview field microscope in developing countries for the diagnosis of intestinal schistosomiasis. The Meade Readiview was designed by the same team responsible for the Trekker microscope and offers the higher magnifications of 80 x and 160 x. This microscope is manufactured under licence by Meade Instruments in California.
