I have now used the Trekker microscope and was very impressed by it. I passed it on to our entomologists and they were equally impressed. It fits into a pocket quite easily and provides detail such as hair structures on plants (the finer details) which are essential for some plant identifications. However it also provides the flexibility of x 10 lens for a less detailed magnification.

I think that it would be an ideal tool for out in the field and at the price of £49.99 is great value and would make a wonderful introduction to microscopy for youngsters. I will be recommending this to my fellow colleagues in other organisations. I look forward to the SLR camera adaptor and digital PC connector with regards to picture quality.
